Additional Home Buyer Education Classes Now Offered in Pasco County, Florida

I received word this morning that the the Community Development Office of Pasco County, Florida has scheduled additional home buyer education classes. Often attendance at these is required for those buyers who want to take advantage of special programs like down payment assistance or the new Neighborhood Stabilization Program.

I believe that there has been more demand than they had initially anticipated, and therefore, they are making more sessions available to citizens here.

Here are the sessions that are currently scheduled at least until the end of August 2009:

  • June 4 and 11 at the Pasco County Government Center in New Port Richey
  • June 22 and 15  at the American Legion Hall, Dade City, Florida    NEW
  • June 17 and 24 at the Land O'Lakes Senior Center    NEW LOCATION
  • July 7 and 14 at the Pasco County Government Center, New Port Richey
  • July 9 and 16 at the American Legion Hall, Dade City, Florida
  • July 18  at the Community United Methodist Church, 3214 US Highway 19, Holiday, FL - This is an all-day session on a Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM    NEW
  • August 4 and 11  American Legion Hall, Dade City      IN SPANISH - This is a date change!
  • August 5 and 6  at the Pasco County Government Center, New Port Richey
  • August 17 and 24   American Legion Hall, Dade City  NEW

It sounds like more classes will be scheduled for the fall. But in this life there are no guarantees. So if you want or need to attend one of these classes, I would not delay too long. I am not sure, but seating could be limited. So call now!

The county says to confirm dates, get information concerning times, etc. you can call Consumer Credit Counseling at 877-854-1446
